Group Classes

Kinstretch is a movement enhancement system typically taught as a group class that develops maximum body control, flexibility and usable ranges of motion. The KINSTRETCH system is one born out of scientific research. All of the movements and training techniques have been selected based on a meticulous and rigorous investigation of evidence and research. Our Group Kinstretch Classes will help you increase body control, joint health, and physical longevity. Mobility training is strength training. The strength component is trained using isometric contractions at all angles. It is a practice of training the body to be strong at its weakest angles. Learning to control your body advertently develops greater motor control and stronger signals from the brain to your deepest stuff: your joint capsules. Unlike other common methods of flexibility training such as yoga and passively stretching muscles, Kinstretch focuses on gaining control of your passive flexibility by actively engaging your muscles rather than using gravity to get you into poses. This mobility work is meant to expand your usable range of motion which we lose both with age and our lifestyle. These classes will put a focus on joint health & longevity, body control, and injury prevention. If you are currently dealing with an injury and/or are experiencing pain we recommend you take a private mobility session with one of our mobility specialists before taking a group Kinstretch Class. We recommend taking our Kinstretch Level 1 Class as your first class to learn the basics of the practice. “The more control you have over your joints, the more control you have over your body. Jake leads a one on one training sessionWhether you’re suffering from chronic pain or just want to improve your overall movement, we’re passionate about helping you get there. Private mobility sessions are highly recommended before taking your first Kinstretch class. Not only is this a great way for you to learn basic mobility techniques and the basic Kinstretch protocol but it is also a great way to learn corrective exercises in a 1 on 1 setting. You can complete our intake assessment, or jump right into sessions!
